Betterer
So I have gradually started riding again, and it feels so good. It turns out the bike top tube length was a contributing factor to the neck pain. By leaning juuust a little too far forward, and by letting my shoulders and arms relax exactly the wrong way, my neck curve and pinch. Bad.
And thus, alas, I will have to buy a new bike. First, need a buyer for the current machine.
I got to ride in Colorado with my oldest son, that was great. I rode a Giant OCR 3 full carbon bike. First time on all-carbon. Amazingly smooth, like a Mercedes. The posture was much more upright, which I think will really help fix the problem.
My son is doing his Boy Scout merit badge in cycling, so that will be a great adventure. We have to finish the 50 miler and maybe a 25 yet. These will have to wait for the spring, or we can do them over Christmas here in Austin.
